Vincent Quek, the music director of Kee Club, was so blown away when he heard South American DJ Tania Vulcano at Ibiza's legendary DC10 club a few years ago that he resolved to one day bring her to Hong Kong.

Next week he finally achieves that feat when Vulcano (above) plays the first Circo Loco event to be held in Hong Kong.

'She is a killer DJ in my books,' says Quek, who came across her one Monday morning at DC10, the after-hours club famed for its excesses located on Europe's leading party island. 'Her blend of primal deep techno and tribal grooves changed my whole perspective on house music. It took it to another level.'

DC10 was the Iberian home of Circo Loco, but such is the club's reputation for hedonistic frolics lasting long past sunrise that the Ibizan club may not be allowed to be open this summer. Circo Loco's London home, The End, has also closed its doors.

Europe's loss may be Asia's gain as Quek's two-year quest to bring Circo Loco to Hong Kong has finally paid dividends.
