Good Strike is a three-year-old full of promise and, in a race lacking depth, he should have little trouble in returning to his best in the middle leg of tomorrow's Triple Trio at Sha Tin.

The Almond Lee-trained gelding made his debut on March 1 and created a good impression to narrowly take the prize after being sensationally backed from 9-1 to start a 5-2 favourite.

The form from that event has proven to be strong with placegetters Bondi Lad and Happy Reunion subsequently scoring, and even fifth-past-the-post Hot Pepper turned in his best effort at his next outing when second to Amnesty.

Good Strike was again heavily supported at his next outing three weeks later and looked set to reward his followers when running on strongly from back in the field, but he hung in at the 150m and lost momentum, before finding Regency Kingdom too strong.

Lee has given the four-year-old a freshen-up and he looks to have found the ideal race to bounce back to winning form.

With Gerald Mosse returning to France, the mount has fallen to Zac Purton, who should be able to secure an energy-saving run in midfield from gate four, and Good Strike will only have to mend his wayward tendencies to finish over the top of his rivals.

My Whisky has had an usual campaign, but creates plenty of interest with a drop to Class Four for the first time and is the main danger.
