Dengue fever threat rises slightly

People have been urged to step up their anti-mosquito efforts, after a slight rise in the monthly average ovitrap index. The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said the index - which measures the population of mosquitoes capable of spreading dengue fever - had risen to 4.8 per cent in April, up from 0.2 per cent in March.
