Australian trainer Greg Eurell has already pencilled in a return trip to Sha Tin in December for the beaten favourite from the 2008 Hong Kong Sprint, Apache Cat. Under Damien Oliver, Apache Cat became only the fourth back-to-back winner of the Group One Doomben 10,000 in Brisbane on Saturday, making it eight Group Ones for the popular baldy-faced gelding in his glittering career. And unfazed by defeat last December here, Eurell said he would look at returning with Apache Cat for the next international events, this time targeting the Hong Kong Mile. Apache Cat was a winner over a mile as a two, three and four-year-old, including a Group One Australian Guineas, was then turned into a specialist sprinter but has been finding short trips too quick recently as a six-year-old. 'He'll spell now and I'll get him ready for a mile in Melbourne later in the year and then look at going back to Hong Kong,' Eurell said.
