I am writing in response to the article 'Pass masters' (SCMP, May 12).
The future depends on young people. But these 'shooters' who take exams for others, and the people who pay them, are not promising future leaders. People who cheat, bribe, do illegal work or don't work hard are not reliable.
Although people who pay others to take their exams may get a place at university, they may not be able to follow what's going on in lessons. They are unlikely to learn anything useful or be particularly successful individuals.
As for the shooters, their behaviour is worrying. If they are willing to cheat for money, how can they be expected to contribute to China's future? People who are willing to help others cheat for financial gain are not the sort of people who should be allowed to contribute to the running of a country.
This sort of behaviour should not be tolerated. People who resort to such actions are ruining their future and that of their country. Karen Lee, Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School
