Summer reading usually denotes lighter fare and pulp romances. However, the American Women's Association wants to make poetry a part of the reading list too. Its July issue of the periodical AWAre is seeking poetry submissions with the possibility of them being reproduced in print. The theme should be related to Hong Kong and/or summertime. The monthly magazine is produced strictly on a volunteer basis, so there is no payment, and the association is a non-profit group that in turn supports 10 different charities. Interested writers in English can submit their work to its sub-editor, Parul Shah, at firstname.lastname@example.org . They are also accepting micro-fiction works of up to 800 words.
