After arriving in town last week to help promote the next Planet Battle kickboxing event, which takes place tomorrow night, it seems American Bob 'The Beast' Sapp has had to drop out of the bill. The former professional wrestler and mixed-martial-arts fighter was supposed to rumble with Hong Kong's Alain 'The Panther' N'Galani (below) in a heavyweight match destined to be the main event at Queen Elizabeth Stadium Arena. Instead, the fight card now has N'Galani taking on a Thai heavyweight fighter with the stage name of Jaran Indaendon. Frankly, even the organisers couldn't provide much detail about this opponent. What we do know is he weights 95kg and has been in 200 fights and won half of them, 67 by knockout. No doubt The Panther will be seeking revenge, since he lost his last Planet Battle fight to a Dutch kick-boxer. The bill starting at 7pm includes nine other fights. Tickets are HK$200, HK$450 and HK$800 for VIP seats and are available from Urbtix.
