There are a lot of music phones and smart phones out there, but not many that are designed to be both.
While almost any phone these days will store and play back music, the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic belongs to the company's catalogue of music phones, which means it comes with superior audio support and advanced media management software such as the Say & Play music search function and a link to Nokia's Ovi music store.
It also features dedicated volume buttons and an FM radio that also has support for internet radio.
What makes it a smart phone is its high-speed data networking support with HSDPA at 10.2Mbps, plus integrated Wi-fi for e-mails or surfing.
The 5630 also comes with multiple e-mail clients and instant messaging clients, dictionary and Flash Lite. It even has a 3D image engine.
You can download more software to the phone but, unlike most smart phones, the 5630 won't come with a touch screen. It makes up for it by being super-thin at 12mm and being priced affordably at HK$2,098.
