Traditional Peking Opera
The Taipei Li-yuan Peking Opera Theatre  and artists from the Shanghai Peking Opera Theatre perform: Hanging Up a Picture (an excerpt of The Meeting at the Temple), in which a young girl and maid happily decorate her bridal chamber, and Vengeance in a Black Pot, an opera about a pot with a vengeful ghost of a murdered man attached to it, today; and an excerpt from Castigating Cao Cao in the World of the Living and the Dead about a proud scholar assigned a position as a court drummer who criticises a senior minister in life and the after-life, The Closet as Matchmaker about what ensues after a young man hides in a young woman's closet, and Monkey King, a story taken from the  novel Journey to the West about a monk and his disciples' adventures while on a journey to India, tomorrow.
