Describing yourself as great means you have some hyperbole to live up to and her debut First Love gets Emma-Lee Moss off to an uncertain start.
She is undoubtedly pretty-voiced and her lyrics can be fresh and ironic, but at times her brand of indie folk is too cute by far.

She succeeds on tracks such as MIA, as she jauntily recounts her lover's death in a car crash, but the lyrics and delivery of We Almost Had a Baby are so girlish as to make one cringe.
