Judy Yu Chu-dic, a fly girl? She's down with it! The managing director of retail group Carsac - which runs LeSportsac, Pylones and footwear shop 2FT - not only sponsored Le French May's visiting hip hop dance act Accrorap (who performed on Tuesday and Wednesday), she took the five break-dancers and their crew around town, treating the posse to a Chinese lunch at Margaret Xu Yuan's Yin Yang restaurant in Wan Chai on Wednesday. Who knew she was such a hip hop head? 'I like hip hop because it is the sort of dance which one can simply listen to the music to create one's body movements,' Yu (pictured with group) explained. 'It's not a strict routine so I can just jump, turn or twist anyway I want.' On Sunday the group hosted a free movement workshop with local youngsters then on Monday presented a more serious session with Academy of Performing Arts students. 'It was challenging for both sides as they have good dance techniques but [don't know] any hip hop technique at all,' Accrorap performer Gilles Rondot said. The crew also walked around Mong Kok and did an impromptu show at an intersection. Now that's keeping it real.
