FILM producer Wong Long-wai was struck in the face by a man who claimed to be ''Yiu-hing'', the Tiger of Wan Chai, after another man with a knife attacked the movie boss, the District Court heard yesterday.
Actor consultant Wong Kam-chung, 36, was testifying on the third day of the trial of mechanic Wong Sik-ming, 26.
The defendant has pleaded not guilty to two counts of wounding Wong Long-wai and Wong Kam-chung with intent and one count of claiming to be a member of Sun Yee On triad society on May 5, 1992 in Wan Chai.
Alleged victim Wong Kam-chung identified the defendant - both in court yesterday and at an identity parade in 1992 - as the man who chopped him and his boss Wong Long-wai.
Wong Kam-chung said he and his boss were attacked in Jaffe Road after dining with Wong Long-wai's wife Leung Siu-ying and friends at the Bamboo Village Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant.
The witness said he saw a man run up to Wong Long-wai, place a knife against his neck and say: ''Wu So Wai [moustache Wai], you come with me.'' The witness and his boss were about to get into a car at the time, the court was told.
