Olympicship hasn't been the most reliable but he is set to make a winning debut for the Manfred Man Ka-leung stable in the opening leg of Sunday's Triple Trio at Sha Tin, on the evidence of a recent trial win.

With the TT failing to go off last weekend after an extremely tough set of results, the main prize is expected to top HK$5 million, and from an inside barrier, Olympicship looks a suitable banker.

His form improved dramatically when switching to the all-weather track, but he was disappointing at his last two starts when he had his blinkers removed.

With the headgear reapplied in a 1,200m barrier trial on May 29, the one-time New Zealand winner gave his rivals a galloping lesson in winning by five lengths to indicate he was set to get his career back on track.

The four-year-old looks set to get the run of the race under James Winks after coming up with gate three, and he only needs to run up to his second placing to honest Gallant Master to be the one to beat.

His main danger, and an appealing double banker, is Best Noodle, to be ridden by Matthew Chadwick.

The three-year-old has always displayed a touch of talent, and his last-start effort after doing some work in the run indicated he was looking for a rise in distance.
