With all primary and nursery schools in their second week of closure - and with some secondary schools closing - organisations such as the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) and the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) are offering help to students who are 'quarantined' at home.

The organisations have hotlines that can answer your questions on issues ranging from the swine flu to the suspension of classes.

In addition to these hotlines, the HKFYG has a website (www.u21.hk) that students can access for free. It provides exercises and worksheets. It hopes that this can help students use their time productively. The BGCA also offers a forum (http://forum.bgca.org.hk) for students, where they can discuss ongoing issues with each other.

The forum is a platform for adolescents to voice their opinions, and they can use their creativity to come up with solutions and suggestions about how to deal with the swine flu outbreak.

The purpose of the forum is to create a positive learning environment where everyone can have a say, and to provide a link between young people and society.

If you have any issues or problems that you would like to discuss, call the HKFYG hotline on 2777 8899, or the BGCA (2520 6800).
