From barman to billionaire, fung shui master's colourful journey

From high school dropout to billionaire lover and confidant of Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum, Tony Chan Chun-chuen has had a colourful life.

Mr Chan attended Matteo Ricci College in Western district before leaving to join the workforce in 1977.

He has had a chequered career, starting off with a stint as a bartender in a club restaurant.

Mr Chan tried his luck as a machinery salesman for several years, worked as a waiter at Maxims and was a market researcher.

In the early 1980s, he set up a company known as C3 to trade computer parts with the mainland.

It operated for about seven years before closing in about 1989, when Mr Chan became unemployed.
