Exchange Tower is drawing a positive leasing response from a wide spectrum of local and international tenants looking for competitively priced, high-quality commercial premises in East Kowloon, the project's leasing manager says.
The new Sino Group development at 33 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay, provides 22 levels of office space totalling about 600,000 sqft on a 100,000 sqft three-level shopping podium.
Allan Chan Siu-wah, associate director of Sino Group's leasing department, said leasing progress had been satisfactory and the building enjoyed a mix of tenants from sectors including trading, publishing, information technology, entertainment, accounting, design and electronics. Office units range from 1,000 sqft to an entire floor of 28,000 sqft.
'The multinational tenants we have signed up include companies in energy, media, pharmaceuticals, global research, film, and conventions and exhibitions,' Mr Chan said.
'This testifies to the popularity of Kowloon Bay as an ideal location for companies seeking sizeable floor plates and quality specifications with a green environment.'
Mr Chan said leasing of retail space at Exchange Tower had also brought satisfactory results. Among the committed tenants were food and beverage operators (Chinese, Southeast Asian and western cuisine), wedding services and a bank.
