Painted Skin star Zhou Xun, 32, has ended her six-year relationship with her stylist boyfriend Lee Da-chi. The acclaimed mainland actress, who was recently named best actress at the third Asian Film Awards in March for her performance as a cab driver in The Equation of Love and Death, announced the split through her publicist this week. 'Zhou Xun and Lee Da-chi ended their romantic relationship earlier this year and have both started new lives,' the statement said. 'This sad news was mainly due to their individual career pursuits in recent years. They spent much less time together than they did apart and their romance gradually turned into a friendship.' Lee, 38, had been dating Zhou since 2003 after meeting her when he was Zhou's personal stylist for her debut album, Summer. Zhou was open about the relationship and praised Lee's styling talent at various awards ceremonies. In the announcement, Zhou (below) also thanked Lee for his past support and pleaded with the media to give them room to heal and not speculate on their breakup. The actress said that neither she nor Lee would grant any further interviews regarding their separation. News of the couple breaking up stunned many people as Zhou had said Lee was the perfect man for her. In 2006, she said: 'Da-chi and I will get married. It's just a matter of time.'
