SonyEricsson's T707 is a simple but elegant mobile phone that comes with the stamp of approval from tennis superstar, Maria Sharapova, so you know it's stylish. It offers much of what you'd expect from a new model, and also comes with some neat features that make it easier to communicate with your friends - or not, if that's the preferred situation. Embedded into the coloured metallic exterior of the clamshell phone is an OLED display and a light. The display notifies you of incoming calls and messages. With the extra light, the T707 can tell you who the caller is. The neat trick is that you can set the light to different colours to match different caller types. For example, you can have all your male friends set for blue and all your female friends set for green, or vice versa. If you don't want to take a call, you can simply wave your hand over the phone's display to end the call. The same gesture also works for the alarm clock. The light will also work as a fill-in for photos and videos, which can be captured on the phone's 3.2-megapixel digital camera. Additional features include 3.6Mbps high speed data networking for uploading photos to your blog, or accessing the internet, quad-band GSM and GPRS connectivity, It also comes with 100MB of internal memory, expandable with a memory stick micro-card, FM radio and Bluetooth. The T707 sells for HK$1,780. Pros: design fit for Maria Sharapova, light for indicating incoming calls, wave gesture to end call or put alarm on snooze Cons: thicker than many phones, average camera and functions Got a gadget you'd like us to feature?
