W HILE telling Keep ing Posted that his plans for the future centre on building theatres around the world, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber hasn't entirely put his first love of writing beautiful music on the back burner.
Sir Andrew, who with his wife Lady Madeleine left Hong Kong for London on Saturday by private jet after officiating at the opening of the second season of his musical Cats, told us that while here he started working on a Christmas Mass up in his penthouse suite at the Grand Hyatt.
Incidentally, during one of the private parties thrown for the Lloyd Webbers a well-known tai-tai - who joined our conversation as Sir Andrew was talking about his wife's interest in breeding horses - piped in with the innocent query: ''Does your wife ride horses?''.
Glancing our way with his eyebrows raised, Sir Andrew cupped his hand on his mouth and whispered to her: ''Actually, she was a former European riding champion, that's all.''
