NEWSWEEK International's international research director, Theresa Yeung, is returning to Hong Kong to assume a broad range of responsibilities on behalf of the magazine.
While her base will be Hong Kong, her duties will take her throughout Southeast Asia.
Ms Yeung is a native of Hong Kong and a 17-year veteran of Newsweek International. In 1990, she was named Newsweek Inc's Employee of the Year, receiving the prestigious President's Award for her outstanding efforts in 1989 while serving in Hong Kong as Pacific research director. INDOSUEZ Asset Management Asia Ltd, one of Hong Kong's leading investment houses, has appointed Hiroko Koike as investment analyst.
Ms Koike has extensive experience in financial services, having joined Union des Assurance de Paris in 1987 as operations manager.
In her new position, Ms Koike will be responsible for providing project analysis on the Japanese market. PLAYMATES Properties Holding Ltd has appointed Clara Chan as executive director.
Ms Chan was previously director of the residential department at Jones Lang Wootton, and was responsible for managing a number of big investment transactions.
