Hannah Wilson claimed her second gold medal in the space of 48 hours at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia, blitzing the field in the 100 metres butterfly.

Having won Hong Kong's first ever medal at the Games on Tuesday night, the 20-year-old made it a double in record-breaking style.

Wilson led all the way, smashing her own Games record set in the semi-finals with a time of 58.24 seconds and beating Hong Wenwen of China by almost a second. Ayano Kuroki of Japan was third.

'I am very proud to win a second gold with a Games record again for Hong Kong,' said Wilson, who will pocket HK$500,000 in cash awards under the Sports Institute's incentive scheme.

She won her first HK$250,000 award when clinching the 100m freestyle gold and Hong Kong record of 54.35 seconds.

Hong Kong swimming head coach Chan Yiu-hoi said Wilson would not be able to touch the cash as she is still a student at the University of California in Berkeley.
