Purveyor of burgers gets carried away singing the praises of its seven incher

Sex sells. But when it's so literally 'in your face', as in this ad from Burger King, you have to wonder whatever happened to subtlety and innuendo. Maybe that's just too old school.

The new ad has not yet appeared in Hong Kong but it is already causing quite a stir in Singapore, where it is part of a promotion drive. The new Super Seven Incher vows to 'blow your mind away'.

But just in case you don't get the message with the photo of a young woman with her mouth open, the smaller print elaborates. 'It just tastes better ... fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste the mind-blowing burger that comes with a single beef patty, topped with American cheese, crispy onions and the A.1. Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce.'

Let's see, 'long juicy ... beef', 'blow you away', 'seven incher'. There is speculation about whether the model was real or an unusually lifelike sex doll.

Does Burger King seriously think this will really enhance customers' appetites?
