12 per cent of population is depressed

The percentage of the Hong Kong population suffering from depression is 12 per cent, the highest measured in seven years and a sharp rise from last year's 8.8 per cent and 8.3 per cent two years ago. A survey, conducted by the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies in April and May, interviewed 2,011 people aged between 15 and 65.
