Hong Kong's favourite pig is back. The fourth instalment of the hugely popular McDull series directed by Brian Tse, McDull Wudang comes to cinemas on August 13 and features voiceovers by Sandra Ng Kwan-yue (Mrs Mak), Anthony Wong Chau-sang (the Tao Master) and Wan Kwong (Mcfucius Fatter).
McDull fans are likely to be delighted by the latest offering, following the lacklustre semi-animated McDull, the Alumni in 2006.
The early McDull movies showed the young pig growing up in urban Hong Kong. This time, McDull goes to the mainland.
While his classmates travel abroad during the summer vacation, McDull is forced to go to Wudang, where he trains in kung fu. Luckily, he makes some new friends and finds himself settling into mountain life.
That is, until he is chosen to take part in the 'International Kindergarten Martial Arts Competition'. McDull now faces the challenge of overcoming his physical shortcomings and competing against proven fighters.
Help eventually comes from the most unlikely of quarters - in the form of an old clock that may ultimately give McDull the strength he needs to overcome his lack of athleticism.
