Cleaner critical after ladder plunge in Mong Kok

A cleaner was critically ill in hospital after falling from a two-metre ladder in a shop in Mong Kok yesterday. The 30-year-old man suffered head injuries when he fell in the shop in Sai Yeung Choi Street South. He was unconscious when paramedics arrived. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition. Police said there was nothing suspicious about the incident. The Labour Department is following up the case.
