Video game a virtual virus killer
Well, that's one way to get rid of the swine flu.
Xbox 360 is showing off a new video game called H1N1 Killer in its booth at the Ani-Com & Games carnival at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
A University of Hong Kong student designed the game in just a month using Microsoft technology, an Xbox employee said.
H1N1 Killer is not scheduled to be sold in stores, but visitors to the carnival can test their swine-flu-busting skills during the event.
With controller in hand, a player can guide a blue-haired figure through the human body to blast puffer-shaped pathogens and pick up healing pills.
Yesterday, visitors stopped by the display and offered their opinions on the game. They could not agree on whether they would give H1N1 Killer a shot at success.
