Former model Kelly England offers these make-up tips to give your face the right contours.
'Contour your face like an artist creates a painting. With the right products and practice you can entice strong cheekbones, add definition to your features and achieve a more striking look. First, work on your base for a smooth, evenly covered canvas. Then the fun starts, with a highlighter.
'Choose a colour two shades lighter than the skin on your eyelid for a day look. Brush the 'whiter' shade - Bobbi Brown No1 is suitable for most women (HK$170) on the eyelid and up to the eyebrow, with emphasis on the area just below the brow arch (this lifts the face). Then put a small dot in the inside corner of the eye - try Crystal Avalanche by Mac (HK$130), which will really highlight the eyes.
'Apply High Brow (HK$210) by Benefit under the brows and just above them. This has the effect of raising the brows and contouring the face.
'With blush, suck your cheekbones in then use an angled blush brush such as Shu Uemura Style 20 (HK$320) and push the blush under the natural cheekbone. This draws attention to the area, creating a shadow effect. Try the shade Amber by Shu Uemura (HK$165).
'If you have a strong nose, use a white highlighter or eye shadow and dust a line of powder down the length of the bone. It creates the impression of a straight and narrower line.
