'Assertiveness skills for managers' is a workshop organised by the Hong Kong Management Association. The workshop is designed for managers who have to deal with poor performers, irate employees or clients, evaluate performance, set goals with others, and handle career discussions. The workshop aims to provide managers with effective assertiveness skills and new ways to articulate choices, and justify issues that change values and roles. Participants will be able to say the right things at the right time in the right way, resolving issues before they become long-term problems.

'Latest trends in benefits for international assignments' is a seminar organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. The seminar aims to explore the recent changes to benefits in specific industries. It will look at the levels of entitlement, delivery and administration procedures, and key differences in the determination and management of assignment benefits between Asian companies and their counterparts. There will also be a discussion on the impact of the recession on benefits management including how benefits companies review cases.
