What kind of traveller are you?
To me, the purpose of travelling is to fully enjoy myself. I like to play hard and then totally relax, not to think about work. I also like to experience the local lifestyle in different places. The smartest way to travel is to take a good rest, open your mind and heart to see new things, and come back with a clear mind and an energetic body to tackle your problems, take up challenges and work hard again.
What are the most important components of a good trip?
One thing that makes me happy is to travel with family or friends, and have fun together. Also, it's essential to try the local cuisine. I have a habit of trying garlic wherever I go, in order to understand more about the life and culture there. There are different uses of garlic in different cultures. For example, the Chinese use garlic to cook and to make appetisers, but some foreigners eat garlic with bread and vinegar. What's your most memorable travel experience? Tasting great food in their origins, in particular Sichuan hot pot and Italian salads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, two of the finest dishes in the world. You can't find such authentic experiences in Hong Kong.
What are three things we're guaranteed to find in your carry-on luggage?
First, an international credit card; they can be used around the world, offering convenience. A digital camera is another indispensable item, as you can take photos and share your joyful memories with friends and family later. These photos can be educational for your children. If I travel with my daughter, I always ask her to send a postcard to her mother as a souvenir. Finally, medicine is essential.
