Long working hours add to anxiety

Long working hours may trigger generalised anxiety disorder, a survey found. Caritas Community Development Service interviewed 113 low-income earners and found that more than 20 per cent suffered from symptoms of the disorder, including insomnia and tiredness, significantly higher than the 4 per cent rate in the general community. The interviewees worked for an average of 60 hours a week and earned an average of HK$6,450 a month.
