The usual Friday night fracas in Lan Kwai Fong was upstaged by the Mini this weekend. The little car took over California and Lux (and cordoned off part of the street) for a big bash celebrating its 50th anniversary with free-flowing bars that only paused for the company folks to make their spiel and celebrity guest MC Jin Au-yeung, 27 (above), to entertain with a whimsical rap. Even if his Mickey-versus-Mini references went over the crowd's head, it's all good for the diminutive hip-hopper. Easy gigs such as this, hawking the undersized auto, allow him to continue living large. 'Life is awesome,' Jin said. 'Things are so good now, I worry the shoe is going to drop any minute. In the last six months, it's been non-stop. I'm doing less music stuff now but I've done two movies, a variety of sponsorship deals and a TV show. I've watched Hong Kong movies for 20 years but never thought I would be in one.' His most unusual offer, though, has to be the hosting of a Now TV programme. 'I go to people's homes and have their mum cook for me. It's called Cooking Mama. We did 13 episodes for the season, and they already want another 13 episodes.'
