Achievements: Vincent, 17, is a member of the Hong Kong Tennis Association's (HKTA) talent group. He represented Hong Kong in the Junior Davis Cup last year. He ranked second among under-16 boys at the end of last year. With partner Raymond Lui Shing-fung, he won two boys' doubles titles in 2007 and the 2008 K-Swiss CRC Open boys' doubles. He is also the HKTA Series Competition 3 under-18 boys' singles champion. 
Soundbite: 'My first experience of tennis was at five when I watched my dad play with his friends. I started to have lessons at seven and had my first match at 10,' Vincent says. 
'I seldom won a match at the beginning, but I did quite well as a secondary school student. I gained confidence and I know I am now strong enough to face any challenge on court.
'My idol is the world men's singles top 10 player Fernando Verdasco. The Spaniard is an all-round player with powerful ground strokes. He can maintain his intensity even after being on the court for several hours. After taking the HKCEE, I am focusing on improving my backhand. I want to be more consistent.
'This school term, I hope I can win a third K-Swiss CRC Open boys' doubles title and  help my school team achieve better results in inter-school competitions.' 
From his coach: 'Vincent is an attacking player. In order to be more powerful, he needs to work out and strengthen his body,'  says Andrew Lee Kin-fai. 'We have done some training to improve his pace and footwork. Chau should take part in more international competitions to gain more experience.'
Ambitions: 'I hope to win more matches in the International Tennis Federation Series to boost my ranking. I hope I can represent Hong Kong in the Davis Cup and East Asian Games,' Vincent says.
