Beware of Net dangers

A teenager in the District Court on Monday admitted to being the father of a boy born to a 12-year-old girl.

Ku Tsz-hong, who is now 16, pleaded guilty.

The girl, who is now 13, had sought help from local charity Mother's Choice.

Prosecutor Dominic Ngai Chun-pong told the court Ku met the girl on the internet last year, and that she told him she was 14.

Ngai said the pair chatted online and over the phone for a month before meeting on September 14.

When the girl discovered she was pregnant, she sought counselling from Mother's Choice on March 1. The case was reported to the police.
