Probe to be monitored, police chief says

Police Commissioner Tang King-shing has given assurances that an investigation into a police assault complaint will be monitored closely by the Independent Police Complaints Council. Two brothers, who filed a complaint last Thursday, said more than 10 narcotics officers broke down the front door of their Yuen Long village home and beat the elder brother, rupturing his eardrum.
