Urn niche buyers upset over switch

Police were called in when some of the 1,000 people who had been queuing to buy urn niches in a Tuen Mun columbarium clashed with staff. The Ching Chung Koon Temple had offered the niches on a first-come, first-served basis, but switched it to a draw. Many said this was unfair to people who had begun queuing since 3am yesterday. Last night, 100 people were refusing to leave.
