Rats targeted in five districts

Efforts to eradicate rats were boosted in five districts after the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department found increased infestation rates in the first half of this year. Of 19 districts assessed, Kwun Tong (18.8 per cent), Tuen Mun (16.7 per cent), Eastern (15.6 per cent), Islands (12 per cent) and Southern (11.8 per cent) rated highest. Tai Po, Wan Chai and Mong Kok rated the lowest.
