It's time to challenge your brain and solve some tricky uzzles in the new Nintendo DS game Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.
Gamers will find themselves in an Agatha Christie-like setting travelling around England to solve a mystery murder.
As Professor Layton, a world-renowned archaeologist and puzzle enthusiast, gamers have to figure out how his friend and mentor, Dr Andrew Schrader, died.
In a letter to Layton, Schrader asks him to continue his research into the mysterious Elysian Box should something happen to him. The only clue is a train ticket for the Molentary Express, found at Schrader's home. Professor Layton boards the Molentary Express with his assistant Luke, unaware of the secrets that await.
Game play is relatively simple and easy to pick up thanks to helpful tutorials. The puzzles start out simple - jigsaw puzzles and drawing a path through a maze, but as the game progresses it becomes more difficult. If you find yourself stuck, you can use a hint coin to buy a clue. Hint coins are generously hidden throughout the game, but do spend them wisely.
Gamers get to tackle more than 150 puzzles created by Akira Tago, famous for his best-selling Mental Gymnastics book series, which have sold over 12 million copies in Japan.
