Grub: Japanese food, with a focus on tuna: it's served in all manner of ways, from sashimi and grilled, to tataki style. There is also a range of non-tuna items including sushi, handrolls and hot dishes such as fried pork chops and oysters.
Vibe: Urban eating in some of the city's busiest districts. The Tsim Sha Tsui branch is only a couple of minutes from the MTR, making it very convenient. It's a small place, but comfortable, and cosy for parties of up to four. The interior decoration is uninspired - but you're here for the food, not the decor.
Who to bring: Tuna-loving friends, shopping buddies or a date - but remember to keep the group small. With some pretty decent sushi available, it's also a great place for anyone tired of joining long queues outside sushi chain restaurants.
What's hot: The tuna tataki set is great. For only HK$98, you get a Japanese-style steamed egg with sliced mushroom, chicken and fishsticks, a small appetiser and miso soup. The sliced tuna is served on steamed rice with special seasoning and green onions. The fish is fresh, perfectly seared, and melts in your mouth. 
The sushi is surprisingly good, especially the fresh-from-the-sea scallops. And, as you can order it by the piece, there's less waste than places that only offer orders of four.
What's particularly exciting is the wasabi - rather than the thick paste most restaurants serve, this is freshly scraped from a real wasabi plant. 
What's not: The Tsim Sha Tsui branch is located in a basement, so there are no windows. The tataki portions are smaller than when the restaurant opened. 
Cost: Tuna meal set starts at HK$88; with side dishes, expect to spend about HK$100 to $150 per person.
