Spotted at the launch of Piaget's new watch on Saturday night was Canto-pop singer Leon Lai Ming, who remained tight-lipped over his Las Vegas marriage to model Gaile Lai Kei-yi, details of which were dug up by Hong Kong paparazzi recently.
'I won't talk about my private life in public. This is who I am. Media friends who are familiar with me know I never talk about myself in public. I hope people can respect that,' said a terse Lai when asked (yet again).
But at least Lai was one of the guests who did not mind being separated from their other half at Piaget's 'separation of the sexes' night. The Swiss luxury watch brand had split the Grand Hyatt ballroom, with a black curtain - one side for the women and the other for the men, of course - in honour of the two new watches for the respective sexes.
