Kaolin

This fine white clay is a versatile ingredient used to make porcelain, paper goods, medications and skincare products. The word 'Gaoling' is a reference to a mountain on the mainland where the clay was originally sourced, but it can be found all over the world. Like other clays, kaolin is highly absorbent, so it can draw oils and dirt from the skin. It is commonly used in clay masks and can be added to bath products to soothe the skin. Kaolin in a powdered form can be used in facial cosmetics to absorb oil and reduce greasiness.
