Long queues, hot weather and celebrities standing around in bright coloured clothing summed up the adidas Five-Two-3 Bling Party held at Dragon-i on Tuesday night. There were two official reasons for the party: to continue the brand's year-long celebration of their 60th anniversary, and an introduction to their autumn/winter line. Many were just there for the free drinks and kicks, though - the first 100 guests decked out in gold received a free pair of adidas sneakers. Celebrities such as singer William Chan Wai-ting, Yumiko Cheng Hei-yee (pictured), and Sam Lee Chan-sam got flashier pairs with inlaid crystals. With Hong Kong in the middle of a heat wave, the celebrities were visibly sweating during interview sessions on the Dragon-i outdoor patio. Of course they were soon escorted inside to cool off, while the rest of the normal folks remained outside. Yes, even those with invites were not allowed too far in, as most of the actual venue was closed off as a VIP area. So people stood around in the open patio area and nodded their head to the music. Sounds like a typical night at Dragon-i.
