And the usual faces, including actress Anita Yuen Wing-yee, singer William So Wing-hong, Pansy Ho Chiu-king and other socialites, were among the guests.

But it was Wyman Wong Wai-man (right) who outshone everyone. Showing up in an outrageous furry blue jacket, the 40-year-old self-proclaimed 'fashionhead', and part-time lyricist, spoke about, get this, fashion.

'What sets Yves Saint Laurent's clothing line apart from other major brands is that their clothing cannot be grouped into seasons but rather cycles,' he said in a serious tone as if he was discussing world issues. 'The designer, Stefano Pilati, has a habit of completely revamping his style, whereas all other major fashion labels work on one look and then build on it.'

Considered a fashion expert in Hong Kong circles, Wong offered this tip: 'This upcoming winter, the trend will be details in the lower body. The length, layers and patterns of the pants will matter. The key area is 'below the waist'.'

When asked if he was hot in his huge jacket, he replied: 'This is fashion, baby.'
