Libya's ruler Muammar Gaddafi's attempts to pitch a tent in suburban New York have failed.
A building inspector ordered his white tent to be taken down after it was set up on a property owned by real-estate tycoon Donald Trump.

Gaddafi was in town to attend a United Nations meeting. When he goes abroad he likes to stay in a tent, just like the nomads in his country.
Before he was allowed to use Trump's land, he wanted to pitch his tent in Central Park, but city officials rejected his request.
