Green Sense has urged the government to launch a HK$100 million energy-saving scheme under which each household would be given 10 cents per unit of electricity saved. It also found the average temperature last month was 29.4 degree Celsius - the hottest since at least 1963. The group believed this was from rising air conditioner use.
