Former England wicketkeeper and Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read will lead his country's title defence at the Hong Kong Sixes on October 31-November 1. The English Cricket Board, which announced a seven-strong squad, has only included one player from last year's Cup-winning team - Essex allrounder Graham Napier. Read, who has played 15 tests, last appeared for England during the 2006-07 Ashes tour of Australia. Despite becoming the only keeper in test history to take six dismissals in successive tests - the fourth and fifth tests - he fell out of favour with the selectors. Read will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dimitri Mascarenhas who captained England with distinction at the Kowloon Cricket Club last year. Mascarenhas was named Player of the Tournament after England defeated Australia in a gripping finale decided by a run out on the last ball. England are pooled with India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the preliminary round.
