Knifeman, 71, sent to psychiatric hospital

An elderly man who wounded his neighbour with a 27cm knife because he found her 11-year-old son to be a nuisance has been committed to a psychiatric hospital. District Court Judge Stanley Chan Kwong-chi handed down the order on Li Yuen-yau, 71, who pleaded guilty to wounding with intent. He stabbed Chu Yin-ping on March 20 at Tai Wo Hau Estate in Kwai Chung.
