Six hurt in three-vehicle crash Six people aged seven to 31 - four passengers in a private car, a taxi driver and a taxi passenger - were injured when their vehicles and a van collided on Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, at about 1pm yesterday. The victims, who suffered minor injuries, were admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital. Motorcyclist crashes into bus A 23-year-old motorcyclist was injured when he lost control of his motorbike and hit a bus on the Lantau North Highway at about 1.40am. He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital. The driver and rider both passed breath tests. Groups fight at barbecue site About 30 people from two groups became involved in a fight at a barbeque site at Tai Mei Duk, Tai Po, at about 3am. The groups threw bottles at each other. They left the site after the fight and no arrests were made. Two men tied up and robbed Two men aged 38 and 54 were attacked by six men at a cooked food centre on Mei Lam Estate, Sha Tin, at about 3.30am. The victims told police the assailants tied them up and stole about HK$3,000 and mobile phones. They were admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital. No arrests were made. Villagers flee smoker's blaze About two dozen residents of Wai Tau Village, Tai Po, were evacuated after fire broke out in one of the houses at about 1pm. The blaze was caused by the cigarette of a 76-year-old woman smoking in her home. Her son, 42, was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital. Friend saves suicidal woman A friend saved the life of a 64-year-old woman who drank a glass of bleach in an attempt to commit suicide in her flat in Tip Chui House, Butterfly Estate, Tuen Mun. The friend found the woman and called police. The woman was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. Exhibition from astronaut camp A photo exhibition featuring 30 Hong Kong pupils who joined the first young astronaut training camp in Beijing and Xichang this summer is being held at the Space Museum until November 30.
