Achievements: Michael, 15, is a member of the Hong Kong junior bowling team. He won the championship at the 11th PBAP Bevida-Storm International Classic earlier this year.

He also won the boys' Open Masters at the ninth Milo World All-Stars this year and gold medals in the boys' team event and singles at the 2009 Asian Youth Games held in Singapore.

Soundbite 'I first came across the sport when my family took me to the bowling lanes at the age of four,' Michael said.

'I found it to be really fun, so four years later, I told my mother I wanted to receive formal training. The major turning point of my sporting career came when I joined the Searching for New Sports Stars programme organised by the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

'I think I have a pair of steady hands and a great feeling for the game which gives me an edge over other players. I haven't thought about turning professional yet.
