High Return has come up painfully short at his last two starts, but he looks to have found the ideal opportunity to open his winning account in the final leg of Sunday's Triple Trio at Sha Tin.
The Dennis Yip Chor-hong-trained gelding, a half brother to the smart pair of O'Reilly Rally and Regency Horse, didn't have the best of luck at his first two starts, but looked the winner on June 28 before being nailed by You Gatta Pay.
The Dubai Destination gelding resumed on September 29 and turned in an outstanding effort to finish a neck second to Ambitious Treasure after being caught three-wide on a limb throughout.
He will only need better luck in running under Weichong Marwing to take the major prize, with his toughest opposition set to come from My Goal, Namjong Hunter, Record High, Spinnaker and Matsukaze.
In the opening leg, Super Surveys should control the race from the front and take a lot of catching. He looked in need of the run and was forced to cover ground first-up, before turning in an improved effort last start when third to Royal Pumpkin, despite being tight on room in the straight.
He should handle the distance rise and strikes a winnable race, making him an appealing banker.
