Ambience Natural lighting makes for a bright and sophisticated environment during the day, while the stylish decor allows for a chic and intimate dining experience at night. The restaurant also has a topnotch sound system, which would come in handy for private parties.
Cost HK$200-HK$500 for its executive lunch menu, HK$500-HK$1,500 for its regular menu. Drinks not included.
Turn-ons At HK$198, the three course executive lunch menu is a treat, with six choices of starters, 13 options for entrees and dessert. Of the starters, the black pepper prawns were particularly notable. The accompanying pineapple provided a pleasing blend of flavours, while small radish cubes gave interesting texture to the filling, but not heavy, appetiser. Of the main courses, the seared bluefin tuna with capers, anchovies and cherry tomatoes in white wine sauce over Capellini pasta was exquisite. The pasta was beautifully cooked and seasoned, stealing the show from the tuna, and the portioning was perfect. For those with healthy appetites, other entr?e options include USDA baby pork ribs, chilli con carne linguine, half free-range chicken, as well as four different kinds of steak. The dessert, a small chocolate brownie, was very flavourful and not too sweet, a perfect way to finish the meal.
Turn-offs We were slightly disappointed with the grilled Snake River Farms USA Kobe gold label rib eye. At an extra HK$250 on top of the set price, the 7oz steak failed to impress. It was not as tender as we would have liked, and our medium rare order was more on the medium side.
Drinks A wide range of wines from a HK$10 million wine cellar. The fruit mojitos are clear favourites among female diners.
